Draper Knitting Company is now venturing into a whole new world – Broadway! Their fabric is being used in the Broadway Show Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. Kristin Draper, the sixth generation President of Draper Knitting Company, is pleased that Draper’s fabric is being used in the musical. “Draper really fills the void when it comes to niche markets and projects,” she said. “We continually get some of the most unique phone calls when it comes to creating fabrics such as the one featured in Priscilla. It was a pleasure creating this fabric and seeing it come to life in such a unique way. Whoever thought we’d be on Broadway!”

Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical is based on the smash-hit movie, Priscilla, and is a heart-warming, uplifting adventure of three friends who hop aboard a bus searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could have ever dreamed of. “The Draper fabric is the blue pile fabric in the back of the bus and even though you can’t see it, the fabric is actually flame retardant,” Draper said, adding that she is also looking forward to attending the show and seeing the fabric in action.
