We are pleased to announce that Draper Knitting Company is now a supplier member of the United States Footwear Manufacturers Association.   Draper Knitting has a long and strong history of designing and developing footwear materials, unfortunately a good deal of that business went overseas.   The USFMA’s mission, trade policy views, commitment to US manufacturing, as well as the research and collaboration opportunities that the USFMA offers its members echo the sentiments many of you have heard from the Draper team over many years. 

The passion of the leadership of USFMA and member companies was on full display in a recent visit to Capital Hill during the organization’s annual Spring Meeting.  After that meeting, we knew we’d feel right at home with this group.  The Draper team looks forward to adding our voices to the calls for growing the footwear industrial base right here in the USA.  We are proud to help support the USFMA’s efforts for research funding for innovative materials and processes that will enhance the comfort and performance of footwear for our Military, firefighters, the industrial workforce, and the everyday consumer.
